With so many FPS games released each year, there are always questions into which ones players want to sink their teeth, and lately, players have been opting for 2018’s Battlefield V. However, if you want to play with friends on different platforms, it’s good to know if the game offers crossplay.
Battlefield V: Does it have crossplay?
With the recent five-year anniversary of Battlefield V occurring and the recent spike in player count, everyone’s going to want to dive back into the WW2 title and see what has changed.
While this is good and all, there are always questions about whether or not players on PC, Xbox and PlayStation will be able to play with one another. Crossplay has become rather common in gaming in recent times but was once a mundane feature that we rarely ever saw.
However, while Battlefield V is relatively new, as it was released in 2018, the game doesn’t offer any form of crossplay between PC and consoles. As well, this has remained common in all Battlefield titles besides the recently released 2042, as it was the first one to offer this feature for players.
This means if you want to head into the action with some of your friends on Xbox, while you’re on PC, there isn’t ways to achieve this. Instead, you’ll be linked up with one another on separate lobbies, unable to play together.

This is unfortunate, given the recent popularity of the game and how much it has spiked lately, but this is something we don’t expect EA to change, even with the surge in players.
So, if you want to play Battlefield with your friends who are on different platforms, your best bet is to check out 2042, albeit this may be a deal breaker to some.
