Battlefield 5, or Battlefield V, is a successor to Battlefield 1, although the naming conventions aren’t my favorite. Most Battlefield games have a campaign, but does Battlefield 5 have a campaign?
Battlefield V: Does it have a campaign?
Though the campaigns have never been Battlefield’s strong suits, Battlefield V does have a campaign that comes included with the base game and I remember it being fairly good.

The hook of Battlefield 5 is that it takes place during World War 2. Most people agree that Battlefield 1 has a better campaign than Battlefield 5 because of the World War 1 setting and stronger stories, but Battlefield 5 is very similar to Battlefield 1 in terms of storytelling.
What is the Battlefield 5 campaign like?
In Battlefield V, you’ll play the Prologue mission which launches you right into World War 2. From there, you’ll play through four War Stories which are firsthand stories inspired by real events, people, and places in World War 2. It’s a great tactic used to give you an unfiltered look at some great stories that are filled with humanity and great gameplay.
The four War Stories are Tirailleur which shows a story of West African troops taking back their “homeland” of France, Under No Flag which shows a story of a criminal pulled from jail and placed on a Special Boat Service unit, Nordlys which shows you fight as a young female in occupied Norway, and The Last Tiger which shows you leading a Tiger I tank as a German commander near the end of World War 2.
Is the Battlefield 5 campaign worth it?
If Battlefield 5 is ever on sale, I’d say the single-player campaign is worth it. Though there are some not-so-great stealth missions, the whole of it is fun and worthwhile. I think the stories told within are stronger than most Call of Duty stories, and even if you don’t love the campaign, you have a really fun multiplayer to look forward to.
