LEGO Fortnite is about to set the industry ablaze with its innovation and the ability to craft and survive as LEGO characters within the Fortnite world. However, for those looking to link up with friends and play LEGO Fortnite together, you’re going to want to know if worlds cost actual money to host.
LEGO Fortnite: Do Worlds Cost Money To Host?
One notable feature of LEGO Fortnite is that players will be able to host dedicated worlds with their friends instead of matchmaking into random games.
This strikes major similarities to Minecraft, where players will begin their world together and go through the trials and tribulations that any survival game is going to throw at players.
However, Minecraft has a pretty frowned-upon feature, where players who want to play with another on PC, will more than likely have to purchase a dedicated server for around $10 a month.
LEGO Fortnite, however, is going to differ from Minecraft in this regard, as you’ll be able to queue into games with your friends and host worlds without paying a penny.

This is a splendid feature that fans are thrilled about, and one we wish Minecraft and other titles would adopt, as more often than not, we forget about these recurring payments and forget to cancel them.
So, this means whenever you and your friends want to make a new LEGO Fortnite world, whether it’s a fresh save or a brand new one, you’ll be able to do so for completely free!
While we don’t know if LEGO Fortnite is going to become the scale that Minecraft has ascended to over the years, there’s no reason it couldn’t. After all, Fortnite already has some notable IPs within the game, and this could lead to some pretty interesting crossovers and biomes appearing within the game.
However, we’re going to have to wait and see what direction Epic takes LEGO Fortnite in the future.
