Trees are a pretty valuable resource in LEGO Fortnite as they drop wood, but do those same trees respawn?
At what point should you worry that you’re running out of trees as you start to cut down an entire forest? I’ll let you know whether or not trees grow back.
LEGO Fortnite: Can trees grow back?
After cutting down a tree, you won’t notice any saplings drop for replanting purposes, so what happens next? Luckily, trees do respawn in LEGO Fortnite after you cut them down. It won’t be right away of course, but eventually, after a day or so in-game trees will instantly regrow.
The same goes for other resources such as stone, Raspberry bushes, and Pumpkin patches. This allows you to not have to keep searching far and wide for vital resources once you run out. Although you cannot currently plant your own trees for a tree farm, you can grow your own plants with garden plots.
Even though it defies the laws of our world, stone does respawn after some time as well. Also, resources from different biomes will respawn as well, such as Flexwood in the Dry Valley biome.

What resources don’t respawn in LEGO Fortnite?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like resources inside of caves like Knotroot and Marble respawn. You’ll simply have to discover new caves if you’ve run out of resources in one of them. For some reason the respawn rule only applies to the outside world, and not inside caves.
The good news is that while you’re scavenging for resources on your own, you can send villagers on jobs to hunt for resources. Each day they’ll come back to the village with new resources they’ve discovered. You can’t tell them what specific resource you want, but it still helps a little.
LEGO Fortnite is available through Fortnite on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
