If you’ve wondered why some raved about the combat in Divinity: Original Sin, this combat trailer for the sequel should give you an idea. It shows the breadth of turn-based tactical options and creative thinking that will be expanded in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
A man with a very plummy English accent narrates the edited highlights of the fight. It features flying rangers, blessed steam clouds, teleportation, back-stabbing, elemental shenanigans, ballistas, and a whole lot more. Plenty to demonstrate the sort of actions you can get up to in the game.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is currently in Early Access. But not for too much longer, because it’s out next week (14 September, or the next day in some time zones). Review code hasn’t gone out yet (it’s expected early next week), so don’t expect critical instant opinions on what is likely to be a very lengthy game.
