Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to feed sea turtles

Coax them to come out of their shell with this handy guide.

In addition to being in my not-at-all-biased opinion the cutest critters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, sea turtles are easy to know what to feed but harder to actually feed. Here’s how to feed sea turtles in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

When you approach a sea turtle at Dazzle Beach, they retreat into their shells. To feed one, you have to stand by them for a moment until they pop back out of their shells. At that point, you’re able to feed the sea turtle.

Sea turtles like any seafood of any kind, but their favorite food is regular seaweed. Thankfully, it’s easy to get seaweed from fishing anywhere on the map, especially outside of ripples. Spend a minute with the fishing rod in a body of water, fish up a few seaweed, and wander the beach for the sea turtles waddling around.

After doing this several days in a row, you can unlock the sea turtle types as equippable companions that follow you around. Sea turtles come in five versions: The classic green (that looks just like Squirtle), purple, white, brown, and black. Black is the rarest variant, as it only spawns from 10 am to 4 pm on Monday. The other sea turtles are guaranteed to show up on Sundays from 12 am to 12 pm and otherwise have three days in the week each one appears for the whole day.

You’ll have to keep coming back to Dazzle Beach to experience all of the versions of sea turtles, but in my biased opinion, it’s worth it because why wouldn’t you want to collect every version of these little waddling friends?
