Following release date blunder, Blizzard plan to add more beta testers.
Earlier today Blizzard ‘revealed‘ that the RPG sequel will release early in 2012. In the press announcement which followed the leak, Blizzard’s CEO Mike Morhaime stated that the the Beta test will be extended and more testers will be added to the test than originally planned.
“Blizzard will use the additional time to extend the Diablo III closed beta test, which began September 20, potentially adding more testers than initially projected.”
“The beta test is going very well, and we look forward to making the most of the extra time we’re taking to deliver an experience that lives up to our vision for the game and the expectations of our players. Next year is going to be an incredibly busy one for Blizzard, and we hope an incredibly fun one for Blizzard gamers.”
This is good news as many fans were concerned they wouold not get a chance to take part in the test and it also means we’ll end up with a more polished Diablo III.
