What are Vaults in Diablo 4 Season of the Construct?

At last, Blizzard decided to show us some news about Diablo 4 Season 3. And it all came in the form of an announcement trailer ala Seasons 1 and 2. Season of the Construct introduces many new mechanics such as the Loom that will allow us to control a Seneschal Companion that will allow us to fight across the new seasonal content. And what is this new content? Well, a special type of dungeon called Vaults. You see, this seasonal theme revolves around several arcane constructs that have become corrupted by the demon Maphas. That name may sound familiar to you, and while it isn’t present in Diablo lore, this demon has appeared in franchises as big as Castlevania, Devil May Cry, and Bayonetta.

This demon wakes up all the Constructs across all Vaults that are guarding ancient powers and secrets that the player will need to unveil. That means that you will have to take care of these Vaults just like any other dungeon. However, you will have to face the Constructs, a new enemy type for Diablo 4. Moreover, you will need to avoid complex and deadly traps called Hazards that have been put in place by the Loom designer Zoltun Kulle and its former companion Ayuzhan of Caldeum. Not only that but besides getting to face and destroy ancient robotic beings, you will also get to discover and collect great riches thanks to Zoltun’s Warding, a blessing you get by exchanging a new currency called Pearls of Warding.
