Diablo 4 Season of the Construct reveal breakdown

Now that Season 3 has an official name and we know what Blizzard has been concocting for us behind the scenes, it is time to talk about what we say during the announcement trailer. Here is a breakdown of what we saw during the Diablo 4 Season of the Construct announcement trailer.

While many fans of Diablo 4 – myself included – were already rallying up to rise in arms due to the lack of Season 3 information by Blizzard, a very small teaser provided a glimpse at what would later become the Season of the Construct. While an ancient power teased, now we know that Blizzard – thanks to their Season 3 announcement trailer – was talking about the Constructs. These are machines created long ago that harness power and will protect several Vaults across the depths of Kehjistan.

Every player will receive the Loom, a device created by Zultun Kulle that will allow you to control a new robot-like creature called the Seneschal Companion. This companion will be fully customizable, allowing each player to select a variety of Governing and Tuning Stones. Each of these carries a specific effect that will change how the Companion behaves. Making the perfect Seneschal Companion for your build will be essential for your survival.

With this ancient robotic fellow, you will be able to visit the depths of Kehjistan and visit the Vaults. These are special dungeons filled with traps, housing ancient secrets as well as the new enemy type, the Construct. And yes, in case you were wondering, for all endgame players, Nightmare Vaults will also be a thing once you reach World Tier III.

Remember that you will need to create a new character for Season of the Construct. Given the unique mechanics and features – and possibly new loot to collect – the top tier class may change once Season of the Construct drops on January 23. Be ready to use that ancient technology and hope that those Vaults don’t end up killing you via unfair traps.
