How does the Arcane Tremors event work in Diablo 4 Season 3?

The Arcane Tremors event is a new addition to Diablo 4 thanks to the Season of the Construct. It will only appear after finishing the first few steps of the questline and getting your Seneschal Companion. Once you appear again in the overworld, you will see some icons in the map for the Arcane Tremors event and for some structures called Voltaic Obelisks.

Each Voltaic Obelisk will initially be in an open state, emanating red waves of energy that will hurt you. On top of that, each Obelisk will be surrounded by Constructs, making your life more miserable than it usually is – sorry. What you need to do is time your movement right, get rid of the major Constructs, and dodge toward the Obelisks so that you can interact with them and close them. Each Voltaic Obelisk will drop one Elemental Core.

Once you have collected a total of three Elemental Cores, you will be able to interact with the Voltaic Brazier – which also appears on the map. The other item you need to collect is Shattered Stones but they are pretty much found everywhere: all Constructs drop them, so you should have 50 by the time you get to the Arcane Tremors event.

Once you activate the Voltaic Brazier, you will summon a more than decent amount of Constructs that will attempt to kill you. On top of that, a Herald of Malphas – a big demon – will appear as the final boss of the event and will also try to kill you. What’s up with these demon creatures behaving like, well, demons?

Once you defeat the Herald of Malphas your reward will be a random Governing or Tuning Stone. In my case, I got the Protect Governing Stone, which can work well with my Barbarian. I got lucky, I guess, but keep trying!

I will also recommend you stay around the Voltaic Brazier. Many players will activate it and you will get to both help them. That means receiving the same rewards as if you activated the Brazier yourself. Great farming spot for those Stones!
