It’s been a long time coming but the Diablo 3 patch 2.6.1 has now been deployed on the live servers after weeks of testing on the PTR.
This is a large update and as the notes state, Blizzard has taken a look at all the class sets and their performance in Greater Rifts. Skills have also been given a once-over with tweaks and buffs. The same goes for Legendary items which have been tweaked over the duration of the PTR testing.
There are changes to Challenge Rifts with an increase in the amounts of meterials that will drop from Cache Drops and 10 Death’s Breath will always drop. Adventure Mode Rifts have also been tweaked.
The bulk of the patch focuses on the items, which is to be expected, as the game can now be considered to be in maintenance mode while Blizzard thinks about their next move for the Diablo franchise.
The full patch notes can be found here and they are quite lengthy. Also, don’t forget, Diablo 3 Season 12 starts on Thursday 9 November 5PMÂ PDT/CEST and 5PMÂ KST.
