Blizzard has revealed that beta testing of the new Diablo 3 Necromancer class will start “soon”.
The test has come around quite quickly but it’s going to be happening soon worldwide. As with all beta tests, players will have to opt-in to the test via their Battle.Net (R.I.P) account page. This can be found on the Beta Profile Settings page once you log in.
Testers are being chosen based on their system specs, activity, and “other factors” including an “element of luck”. In other words, there’s no guarantee you will get on it even if you opt-in. If you are successful, an email invite will go to the email you are registered with.
The test will feature 2.6.0 patch updates and all the Necromancer skills and abilities. There will also be new Legendary Set items in the beta specifically for the Necromancer.
There’s no start or end date for the beta as yet, but Blizard usually shut their beta tests down around a week before the full launch.
Exciting times for the game which is crying out for something completely new. It’s also going to be interesting to see what Diablo 2 players make of this new addition.
