Diablo 3 mod makes the game more gloomy

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Wjen Blizzard revealed Diablo 3 fans of the series were not exactly enamoured by the game’s colour pallete, so much in fact that Blizzard embraced the ‘rainbow’ terminology that was being doing the rounds and even made a T-Shirt featuring the rainbow.
However, if you think the game is still too cheerful and you want really gloomy graphics like the first two games, there is a litttle mod that was actually being used for Skyrim that can achieve this effect in Diablo 3.
By simply dropping a few files into the root of the Beta game directory, the pallete can be manipulated via a Direct3D hooking filter. Watch it in action.
