We’re all waiting for news of the Diablo 3 Beta and when exactly Blizzard will decide to get it underway, but it’s not going to be the full game.
In a post from Blizzard today, they have stated the Beta test will only include a small part of the whole game. Based on the comments from Blizzard it may only include parts of the game they have already revealed to the public which includes the game’s first three Acts.
In the comments they added “we’re really trying to preserve the surprise and wonderment (that we hope will come with exploring Diablo III) as much as possible”.
No date gas been set for the Beta test but there is speculation that a date will either be announced in a conference call next month which has now been set for Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:30 pm Pacific Time (4:30 pm Eastern Time), and if not then, at BlizzCon later this year.
However, it is likely we’ll hear more on the Beta on 9 May as Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime teased in the last call that there would be an update on the Beta status:
“I’m looking forward to sharing more news about the game, and our upcoming beta, during the next conference call.” ~ 9 feb 2011
