It’s another week of Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals activities, but there’s something special for players out there. We’ll finally see the Pyramid Ships moving to Titan where the Contact public event will take place. Additionally, the weekly Interference mission and “Means to an End” quest will lead players to obtain the Ruinous Effigy exotic via the “Missive” quest chain. Here’s our guide to help you out.
Note: For more information about the other activities and content for this season, check out our Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals guides and features hub.
Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals – Contact: Titan and Means to an End
Once you pick up the “Means to an End” quest from the Tower’s Prismatic Recaster, you’ll notice that you can also grab the “Missive” quest (seen above). Go ahead and do just that.
Next, fly to Titan because that’s where the Pyramid Ships will be for the Contact public event.
The heroic boss here is the Taken Monstrosity (ogre) from week 2.
Complete a couple of these and it’s time to collect from Umbral Essences. The requirements are also the same as those from Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals‘ second week:
- Gambit/Gambit Prime
- Escalation Protocol
- The Reckoning
- Bonus progress from ability kills and boss kills
You can complete this step a lot faster by doing Gambit Prime as each run could net you up to 35-40% progress. You get Umbral Essences from your teammates’ ability kills, and most of the large mobs and the Primevil count as bosses too.
Weekly Interference mission (week 4)
Next up is the weekly Interference mission. As usual, you’ll need to high-tail it to the Cradle on Io to fight one of Savathun’s shriekers.
The Savathun’s Court location is, again, the same as the second week’s, so you’re back to the area with a lot of Taken “push blocks.”
Once you’ve killed the Shrieker boss, speak to Eris and interact with “the gift” to get another lore fragment. You’ll also get treated to a scene where Eris and Zavala are talking about Savathun’s plans. Then, head back to the Prismatic Recaster to pick up your pinnacle reward.
You might think you’re done for the week, but not quite. That’s because the “Missive” quest chain for the Ruinous Effigy exotic is now live. Later, you’ll even need to destroy 50 Savathun’s Eyes for the catalyst.
