The first week of Destiny 2: Beyond Light already allowed Guardians to pick up several perks and boosts for the Stasis subclass. Now, after the “world’s first” team cleared the Deep Stone Crypt raid, everyone has a chance to obtain the second Stasis aspect. It’s the reward at the end of the Born in Darkness – Part 4 and Aspect of Destruction quests. Here’s our guide to help you out.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light – The second Stasis aspect and Born in Darkness – Part 4
Here’s a quick recap of what you need to do before Born in Darkness – Part 4 becomes available:
- Complete Destiny 2: Beyond Light‘s campaign, including a couple of post-campaign missions.
- Finish Born in Darkness – Part 1 from the Exo Stranger. This is just the starter quest that opens up additional tasks.
- Obtain your first Stasis aspect by collecting Entropic Shards. This quest is known as the Aspect of Control.
- Obtain your first Stasis grenade from the Born in Darkness – Part 2 quest.
- Finally, get the second Stasis grenade from the Born in Darkness – Part 3 quest.
Note: I’m uncertain about this, but I don’t think you’re required to have Stasis fragments. Still, you might want to do the fragment focus quests since they boost the subclass, too.
Yes, it’s a very grindy affair, one that’ll have you re-running playlist activities just to reach this point. Anyway, if you meet all the requirements, speak with the Exo Stranger on Europa to receive some tasks.
For the sake of clarity, I’ve only done Born in Darkness – Part 4 and Aspect of Destruction on my Hunter. While I’m keen on getting the second Stasis aspect on my Warlock and Titan, I simply didn’t have the time to grind for these objectives. Plus, with the massive nerfs to the Warlock’s Shadebinder subclass, it seemed pointless to prioritize that character.
Step 1:
You need to defeat 50x enemies on Europa using Stasis abilities. On my Hunter (Revenant), I used Monte Carlo, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, and Gambler’s Dodge.
I was farming kills in lost sectors and public events using my Stasis shurikens. If I no longer had a melee charge, I just shot at hostiles with Monte Carlo to refresh my ability.
Step 2:
- Complete 3x Nightfall strikes with Stasis equipped.
- Defeat 60x enemies affected by Stasis.
This one isn’t hard since you can do this on the easiest Nightfall difficulty. However, it’s definitely tedious. Trying to redo several Nightfalls after I already finished my runs earlier in the week got boring really fast.
Step 3:
You have to eliminate the Fallen patrol in the Creation zone. This was the was closed-off section of Bray Exoscience during Destiny 2: Beyond Light‘s first week.
Well, now, it’s open. Go make your way there and eliminate the mobs.
Step 4:
Thankfully, the next part won’t take you on another sparrow ride across Europa. This one simply has you delving further into the Creation zone to reach the bottom floor.
There, you’ll find the Exo Stranger and Ana Bray. This is also the same room where you met the Giant Exo while doing the exotic quest for The Lament.
Step 5:
Return to the Exo Stranger in the Beyond zone. This is, technically, the end of the Born in Darkness – Part 4 quest. However, if you wish to obtain the second Stasis aspect, you’ll need to do the remaining steps that are part of the Aspect of Destruction quest.
The Aspect of Destruction quest
Step 1:
You have to find the remaining Entropic Shards and destroy them using the Salvation’s Grip exotic. There are nine of these in total, and last week’s Aspect of Control quest only required you to destroy five. However, if you already handled all nine, this quest step is automatically completed.
If you still need to locate some of these, you can refer to our Entropic Shards guide. Do remember that, since the Creation zone is now open, you don’t need to glitch into it anymore just to blast that last Entropic Shard.
Step 2:
The second step of the Aspect of Destruction quest — and the final step in this whole endeavor — is to go back to the Darkness pyramid in Riis-Reborn. Once you’re there, start communing with the Darkness.
You won’t regenerate your Stasis super or abilities, but you should still take out all the hostiles. After eliminating all the mobs, including the Overload champion, you’ll get the second Stasis aspect.
That should be the last one players can obtain in Destiny 2: Beyond Light since a triumph already pops up on your screen.
Still, we’re only experiencing the Season of the Hunt. We might see additional Stasis aspects in Destiny 2: Beyond Light‘s future seasons/DLCs.
