Destiny 2: Season of Dawn has a fairly lengthy questline that adds more steps each week. It’s called “An Impossible Task,” and the main goal is to revive the legendary Titan Saint-14. Along the way, you’ll acquire Saint-14’s shotgun, the Perfect Paradox.

Recovering the Past – The Perfect Paradox shotgun
You’ll have access to Destiny 2‘s Perfect Paradox quest once you’ve finished your first Sundial activity. Osiris will have a couple of extra quests for you to take, and the one that eventually leads you to meet Saint-14 is called “Recovering the Past.” Here are the objectives:
Kill three bosses – This can be done anywhere in the system. It doesn’t matter if it’s a strike boss or a boss from a lost sector.
100 shotgun kills / 25 melee kills – This can also be done anywhere. Just grab your trusty Ikelos or whatever you prefer and smack enemies with your boomstick. For the melee kills, you don’t need to have your melee ability charged up; regular punches are fine.
Pyramidion strike / 5 weapon enhancers – You get one weapon enhancer from any Vanguard strike, Crucible, or Gambit match that you complete. You can also run the Pyramidion from the director if you don’t want the Vanguard playlist to take you to random places.
When you’re done, return to Osiris. The moody Warlock will reward you with the Perfect Paradox. Destiny 2: Season of Dawn‘s Perfect Paradox shotgun has the following perks:
- Rapid-fire Frame
- Smoothbore/Barrel Shroud
- Appended Mag/Light Mag
- Slideshot
- Trench Barrel
Now that you have Saint-14’s shotgun, it’s time to meet the famous Titan himself. Continue onwards with the “An Impossible Task” quest chain and the Corridors of Time.
That does it for our Destiny 2: Season of Dawn Sundial activity guide. Destiny 2: Season of Dawn is currently available on Steam. For more information, check out our guides and features hub.
