The Wasteland (part 2)
Your return to The Prophecy’s Wasteland area won’t be that eventful. You’ll notice a lot of Taken Thralls milling about, and the giant Taken Kell Echo looks like its waving at you from a distance.
Simply follow it — it’ll teleport further away — to reveal more Taken mobs in the area. Once all mobs are eliminated, head to the edge of the map behind the Kell Echo. This is the entrance to another area — The Singularity, or, as Destiny 2 fans call it, “Rainbow Road.”
The Singularity/Rainbow Road
The Singularity is one of the coolest areas in Destiny 2, and long-time gamers will be reminded of the Rainbow Road stages in Mario Kart. It’s a vast world space where you’ll find platforms and twisting ribbons that you can navigate using your sparrow.
The goal here is actually simple: Just make your way to the very bottom of the area, zipping through those ribbons (or using the platforms). Of course, do try to watch out for the snipers along the way.
If you do spot roads that spiral around, don’t try to sparrow your way through them since you’ll just fall to your death. Instead, look off to the sides. Perhaps there’s another path you can take.
Once you reach the bottom, just eliminate the mobs and you’ll be pulled into the bowels of the gigantic structure.
Inside are some weak mobs, and a trippy Tron-like section. Get ready, because you’ll be facing the Kell Echo boss next.
Secret chest #2
Another secret chest can be found in the Singularity/Rainbow Road area. All you need to do is make it close to the bottom of the zone and check out a large, diamond-shaped structure (right next to the teleport platform). If you head below the stairway inside that structure, you’ll find the secret chest. Check out the video below from Destiny 2 YouTuber Lunarated:
