There are only three things certain in life, Death, Taxes, and new seasons of Destiny 2. As we approach the 6th year of the game, Season 23 is finally approaching. As with all new seasons, what to expect is always kept on the down low, but we always find ways of getting a few little hints out. It’s always possible to know a vague release date and time, along with new leaks for Destiny 2 Season 23, before it’s time.
Destiny 2 Season 23: Release date and time
At the moment, using previous seasons’ predictions, we can say with some surety that Destiny 2: Season 23 will begin in late November or early December latest. It would be safe to assume these dates for the upcoming Season.
As for time, only the space wizards up in Bungie really know when they will decide to drop the new season on us. It could be midnight, or it could be right in the middle of your afternoon tea.
Destiny 2: Season 23 content and leaks
We won’t be getting any major expansions in Destiny 2: Season 23, but there will still be a few changes. We can expect to see a new storyline to follow, as well as some undoubtedly beautiful new loot and weapons.
The story is moving towards the final stages of Lightfall and the beginnings of The Final Shape. Bungie has been hinting that The Witch Queen will be featuring heavily in the endgame. It may be necessary to resurrect her in order to open the portal left by The Witness. Hopefully, the new season of Destiny 2 will give us some answers rather than creating more questions. So, we’re looking at the final steps toward the last expansion.
New gear, dungeons, and activities
As with every new season, Destiny 2: Season 23 will feature all-new seasonal loot, gear, and activities to enjoy. These are what keep the players coming back time and time again, grinding out the points to earn the latest Destiny 2 has to offer.
We will also be getting a new Dungeon added to the game. However, Bungie is always very close-mouthed about their plans for these until right at the last moment. It adds a bit of suspense to the year.
Bye-bye to Legendary Shards
There won’t be any more Legendary Shards in the game, and you can’t expect them to carry over either. So, make sure you have spent them all before Season 22 of Destiny 2 ends. Everything else, such as glimmer and exotic ciphers, will all remain.
