As always, each encounter of the Salvation’s Edge raid will drop various weapons and armor pieces, but the real reward of the raid is its unique Exotic weapon. There are cosmetic items like a ship and sparrow available as well if you’re lucky enough to find them. Here’s everything you need to know about the Salvation’s Edge raid in Destiny 2 The Final Shape, including some of the gear you can look forward to obtaining after each boss battle.

Destiny 2 Salvation’s Edge Release Time

Salvation’s Edge will be released in Destiny 2 on Friday, June 7 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. The raid will only be available in Contest Mode for the first 48 hours. Normal mode for Salvation’s Edge will become available on Sunday, June 9 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET, and new developments will take place in the Pale Heart of the Traveler once the first fireteams slay the Witness in the raid over the weekend.

Before you can begin the Salvation’s Edge raid in Destiny 2, you need to first complete The Final Shape campaign on any difficulty. You’ll also need to complete the Wild Card Exotic quest to obtain the Still Hunt Exotic sniper rifle as well.

After you’ve completed those prerequisites, the Salvation’s Edge raid will become available to you in the Director. Just open the map for the Pale Heart of the Traveler and you’ll see the giant raid icon like usual. The minimum Power level requirement for Salvation’s Edge Contest Mode is 1965, and you can get a headstart on grinding by completing The Final Shape campaign on Legendary difficulty to obtain a full set of 1960 gear.

While the official list of drops and loot won’t be available until the Destiny 2 community enters the Salvation’s Edge raid and compiles a list of gear they obtain from each encounter, we already know most of the details about the weapons and armor sets that will be featured in the raid.

The main attraction is Euphony, an Exotic Strand Linear Fusion Rifle that is only obtainable from Salvation’s Edge. This weapon’s Exotic perk causes Threadlings to spawn at your target’s location after dealing sustained damage. It’s not the most exciting Exotic in the world, but it’ll likely be strong for DPS phases at the very least.

Here are the Legendary weapons and gear that you can look forward to in Salvation’s Edge.

  • Imminence: Strand Lightweight Frame Submachine Gun
  • Non-Denouement: Arc Precision Frame Bow
  • Summum Bonum: Arc Wave Frame Sword
  • Forthcoming Defiance: Void Rapid-Fire Frame Glave
  • Critical Anomaly: Stasis Aggressive Frame Sniper Rifle
  • Sparrow: Turmoil Engine
  • Ghost: Timeless Bond
  • Hunter Armor: Promised Reign Set
  • Titan Armor: Promised Reunion Set
  • Warlock Armor: Promised Victory Set

All Salvation’s Edge weapons will come equipped with the Collective Purpose perk. This perk grants bonus range and handling when standing near allies, scaling with the number of nearby allies. Also, Bows receive faster draw times and Swords receive faster charge rates.

We’ll update this guide with more information once the World First race begins for Salvation’s Edge and more Guardians work their way through the raid. In the meantime, there’s a ton of stuff to grind in the Pale Heart of the Traveler to help you prepare for the raid, and new Final Shape Exotics will surely give you a huge advantage in Salvation’s Edge.
