Destiny 2 Pantheon: Release date, explained

A well-known Destiny 2 leaker named BungieLeaks on Twitter (or X) shared with us information about the Pantheon bosses, Exotics, Title, and more. All of the information in this guide comes from them, so take everything with a grain of salt and know that there can be changes between now and when Pantheon launches in Destiny 2 on April 30, 2024.

Is Destiny 2 Pantheon free to play?

Like Into the Light, Destiny 2 Pantheon is free to play. You don’t need to spend any money buying previous Raids to play Pantheon. This is great news because it means free to play players can acquire Raid-exclusive Exotics just like how free to play players can get Whisper of the Worm.

All Pantheon Bosses And Exotics

Pantheon is a new game mode, similar to Crucible, Gambit, or Onslaught, that allows you and your friends to challenge Raid bosses back to back. Here are all the Pantheon bosses we know of so far in Destiny 2:

  • The Caretaker
  • Rhulk, Disciple of The Witness
  • Zo’aurc, Explicator of Planets
  • Nezarec, Final God of Pain
  • Atraks-1, Fallen Exo
  • Golgoroth
  • Riven of One Thousand Voices
  • Oryx, The Taken King

Raids feature encounters between bosses that require skill and knowledge. These locations appear in Pantheon. Here are some of the locations we know will be featured in Pantheon:

  • Macrocosm
  • Collection
  • Threshold
  • Dominion
  • Clarity Control
  • Queenswalk
  • Golgoroth’s Cellar

We know of four potential challenge runs in Pantheon. The challenge runs are what we’ll actually play which features the order of bosses we’ll go up against. While I believe the rest of the leaks in this article, I’m skeptical about these challenge runs because they only feature Macrocosm as an encounter. though these are likely to change, here are four potential challenge runs in Pantheon:

  • Atraks, Sovereign
    • Golgoroth
    • The Caretaker
    • Macrocosm
    • Atraks-1, Fallen Exo
  • Oryx, Exalted
    • Golgoroth
    • The Caretaker
    • Macrocosm
    • Atraks-1, Fallen Exo
    • Oryx, The Taken King
  • Rhulk, Indomitable
    • Golgoroth
    • The Caretaker
    • Macrocosm
    • Atraks-1, Fallen Exo
    • Oryx, The Taken King
  • Nezarec, Sublime
    • Golgoroth
    • The Caretaker
    • Macrocosm
    • Atraks-1, Fallen Exo
    • Oryx, The Taken King
    • Nezarec, Final God of Pain

All Destiny 2 Pantheon Exotics, explained

The best part about Pantheon is you have a chance at earning Exotics that were locked behind Raids. Whether you have horrible RNG luck and haven’t pulled a Raid Exotic like me or are a free to play player, so far we know Pantheon offers these Exotic weapons:

  • Eyes of Tomorrow Exotic Rocket Launcher
  • Touch of Malice Exotic Scout Rifle
  • Collective Obligation Exotic Pulse Rifle
  • Conditional Finality Exotic Shotgun

Destiny 2 Pantheon Title and Emblems

Lastly, the Pantheon Title is Godslayer (which is one of the coolest Titles I’ve ever seen, I might add) and there are four Emblems. The Emblems are Nezarec Sublime, Rhulk Indomitable, Atraks Sovereign, and Oryx Exalted. I’m extremely excited about Pantheon. I also can’t wait to fight the Dread, the new enemy type in The Final Shape.
