Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2021: Book of the Forgotten guide – Spectral Pages and Manifested Pages

To start acquiring Spectral Pages and Manifested Pages during the Festival of the Lost 2021 event in Destiny 2, make sure that you have the “Gone But Not Forgotten” quest from Eva Levante. Go ahead and wear the Masquerader’s Hood mask that she gives you and start any activity.

Our goal now is to acquire 100x candies and 3x Spectral Pages. Candies can drop from various sources, including killing mobs while you have a Festival of the Lost mask equipped. As for Spectral Pages, we need to be wearing a mask when we complete an activity. For instance, you can do a strike and, once you’ve opened the chest, you could receive several Spectral Pages.

The next step in the “Gone But Not Forgotten” quest is to go to a Haunted Sector and eliminate the Headless Ones. Generally speaking, each Spectral Page that you’ve collected will be turned into a Manifested Page as long as you’re killing several Headless Ones in Haunted Sectors.

Note: “All Spectral Pages Manifested” – This notification appears on your HUD if all the Spectral Pages you’ve acquired have already been converted into Manifested Pages. Basically, all we need to do is do activities with a mask equipped, then kill more Headless Ones in Haunted Sector runs. Lather, rinse, and repeat.

So, what exactly are these Manifested Pages for? Well, if you go to the Tower, you’ll see the Book of the Forgotten next to Eva Levante. You’ll use the Manifested Pages that you’ve amassed to unlock lore entries. The basic lore entries cost two Manifested Pages, but later ones cost five or nine each. They provide the following rewards:

  • Glint of Hope triumph – Reveal 14 pages in the Book of the Forgotten; rewards the Beheaded Home emblem.
  • Glint of Victory triumph – Reveal 27 pages in the Book of the Forgotten; rewards the Headless Hues shader.

The more pages/entries you’ve revealed, the higher the chances of receiving weapon rewards from the Haunted Sectors chest. These include the Braytech Werewolf, Horror Story, and other rolls for the new Jurassic Green pulse rifle. Lastly, this isn’t the only grind during this event. You might also want to farm candies for the Masked Rider triumph and Headless Horsepower sparrow.
