Destiny 2 Lethal Abundance God Roll: Best perks and how to get it

A new Strand competitor enters the fray

The first Iron Banner event of Season of the Wish has brought a new Strand Auto Rifle for Guardians to play with. While the game mode has raised a few eyebrows, playing with new guns is always fun. With this in mind, let me show you the Destiny 2 Lethal Abundance God Roll: Best perks and how to get it.

How to get Lethal Abundance in Destiny 2

Lethal Abundance is part of the Iron Banner loot pool and can be earned with Iron Banner Engrams. You’re guaranteed to get the gun when you reach Rank 4 in the event, which will only take a few games.

Once you’ve got your first Lethal Abundance, you can get more using the ‘Focused Decoding’ option with Lord Saladin. Focused Decoding costs 1 Iron Engram and 20,000 Glimmer and offers randomized perks for the weapon.

Is the Lethal Abundance God Roll worth it?

At the time of writing, the Lethal Abundance isn’t likely to replace my go-to Strand weapons. High-impact frames aren’t exactly beloved on Auto Rifles, and the gun has no broken traits. That said, Bungie is forever making balance changes. A weak weapon today could be utterly busted down the line. If you’re participating in the Iron Banner and have the Engrams to spare, there are worse ways to spend them.

Destiny 2 Lethal Abundance PvE God Roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine: Light Mag
  • Perk 1: Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Perk 2: Onslaught
  • Origin Trait: Skulking Wolf

Arrowhead Break is a solid PvP barrel that can also be used in PvE. This Barrel significantly improves recoil and buffs our handling speed. Handling speed determines how fast we raise the weapon and makes the Lethal Abundance feel more snappy.

There are a few good choices for Magazine, but the Light Mag increases reload speed and pushes our range out.

Dynamic Sway Reduction is a superb perk that improves weapon stability and accuracy the longer you hold the trigger. While it doesn’t enhance our damage numbers, it does mean we will hit nimble targets more reliably.

The Perk that really will ramp up our damage is Onslaught. Onslaught increases our rate of fire upon landing a final blow. More bullets mean a higher damage output and the gun will still be controllable thanks to Dynamic Sway Reduction.

There’s a case to be made for swapping Dynamic Sway Reduction for Slice. This new Perk allows the Lethal Abundance to sever targets, although its strength is unproven.

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk 1: Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Perk 2: Target Lock
  • Origin Trait: Skulking Wolf

Like our PvE roll, we’re shooting for Arrowhead Break for the valuable improvements to Recoil and Handling speed.

Ricochet Rounds bounce off surfaces while pushing our range out a little further. The Stability increase is a nice bonus and should help more of our shots hit their mark.

Dynamic Sway Reduction and Target Lock pair together nicely. The improved stability and accuracy work well with Target Lock, which increases damage, providing we land consecutive hits. Onslaught could work here, but Target Lock’s synergy will come into play more often.

If you don’t get Dynamic Sway Reduction, Keep Away is a solid PvP Perk for the first slot. You gain notable buffs to Reload, Range, and Accuracy stats, provided your opponents aren’t right in your face.
