The latest rendition of the Jurassic Green arrived in Season 22 and brought back one of the better Energy Pulse Rifles in Destiny 2.
The fact that it’s bright pink now is a bit odd given the name. But Jurassic Green is still a gun you should add to your collection. Here’s how to get it for yourself and what its best perks are.
Where to find Jurassic Green in Destiny 2
The current version of Jurassic Green is a drop as part of the Festival of the Lost. By simply playing through the Haunted Sectors, you’ll get a chance to grab Jurassic Green for yourself in Destiny 2. It’s not a rare drop either so you should have no trouble finding the gun within a couple runs of the activity. And when you get Jurassic Green you can get it again by selecting Hocus Focusing with Eva Levante.

Unfortunately Jurassic Green doesn’t have a great deal of brilliant perks to choose from. There are only about six total perks to pay attention to with this gun. And if you manage to get a roll with all of the best perks, you’ll get a Jurassic Green that should perform very well. Here are the perks to keep an eye out for:
- Arrowhead Brake
- Accurized Rounds or Flared Magwell
- Keep Away
- Golden Tricorn or Collective Action
Just like the usual game plan with Pulse Rifles, you want perks that increase the handling, range, and stability of the gun. And then you’ll want perks that complement your playstyle. Since Pulse Rifles excel at range, Keep Away is useful since it buffs the weapon’s reload speed, range, and accuracy. Golden Tricorn is also a brilliant accompaniment to this since kills with the weapon increase its damage by 15% for seven seconds. Collective Action also isn’t bad since it boosts your damage whenever you use an elemental pickup. But it’s far more situational than Golden Tricorn and therefore is harder to recommend outright.
The Jurassic Green is already a good Pule Riflem but with the right perks it can compete with the best of them. Make sure you grind out the best roll for this weapon while the Festival of the Lost is still ongoing.
