Destiny 2: The Dawning 2020 — How to generate Dawning Spirit

Dawning Spirit is a facet of Destiny 2‘s Dawning 2020 event. It’s also something generated by you and the rest of the community through certain actions. Here’s our guide to help you out.

Destiny 2‘s Dawning 2020 event: Generating Dawning Spirit

For starters, Eva Levante’s bounties provide this resource already:

• Weekly bounties – 10x Dawning Spirit
• Daily bounties – 2x Dawning Spirit
• Repeatable bounties (give X gift) – 1x Dawning Spirit

Additionally, the baked treats you bring to characters net you around 3x Dawning Spirit, too. However, the fastest way to farm Dawning Spirit is actually via Master Rahool. Yep, Destiny 2‘s ol’ Cryptarch can help you out here.

As seen in the image above, I gave Eva Levante a Classic Butter Cookie. I ended up with some random gear and 3x Dawning Spirit. That’s that.

Now, if you look at the image below, you’ll see that giving Rahool Burnt Edge Transits only nets 1x Dawning Spirit. But, here’s the kicker: I got 15 Dawning Essence, too.

It seems that combining the wrong items to create Burnt Edge Transits is the way to go. You can save a bit of time, especially if you don’t want to farm a lot of Dawning Essence. All you need are the green and blue ingredients anyway.

A good example would be to follow what The Drifter tells you: “Hive, bring a sword.” The Chitin Powder + Sharp Flavor combination doesn’t lead to any baked treat which means you’ll get Burnt Edge Transits instead.

Note: Increasing your Dawning Spirit count will certainly help you since it’s a requirement for Destiny 2‘s Dawning 2020 Spiritfarer 7M exotic ship/quest.
