Dawning Essence is an ingredient required to complete your Holiday Oven recipes in Destiny 2.

To be clear, you can acquire Dawning Essence by completing various activities in Destiny 2. For instance, Crucible matches, Vanguard strikes, and Wrathborn Hunt completions seem to award roughly 15 or more of this resource.

Meanwhile, public events grant you around five, and patrols provide a measly one Dawning Essence. As for Eva Levante’s weekly Dawning bounties, these net you 30 Dawning Essence each.

If you’d like to farm Dawning Essence consistently and quickly, then look no further than running Legendary Lost Sectors. Check the destinations to spot the active Legendary Lost Sector for the day, take note of the champions, and put on your best gear.

You can either go in solo to have a chance at exotic drops or run it with a fireteam to speed things up considerably. Each completion nets you 15 or more Dawning Essence, and you only spend three to five minutes of your time.

Next, let’s discuss how you can generate Dawning Spirit during Destiny 2‘s holiday event. Oh, and if you’d like to see how quickly you can do your farming runs, here’s a video from Destiny 2 YouTuber Demonjoefrance:
