Destiny 2: Dawning 2020 guide — Recipes, Dawning Essence, rewards, and more

The holiday season is upon us and it’s time to spread that festive cheer in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. Here’s our Dawning 2020 event guide to help you obtain Dawning Essence, complete baking recipes, earn rewards, and more.

Destiny 2: The Dawning 2020 event guide

The first thing you need to do if you want to partake in Destiny 2‘s Dawning 2020 event is to visit the Tower. There, you’ll find everyone’s favorite digital grandma, Eva Levante. She’ll give you a quest and Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.0.

It works the same way as last year’s iteration: you obtain a couple of ingredients and add Dawning Essence to create baked goodies.

The first one you can make is Gjallardoodles for Zavala. After handing it to the Vanguard commander, Eva will provide you with an exotic quest, “And to All a Good Flight.” This will eventually net you the Spiritfarer 7M exotic ship. Yep, it’s akin to last year’s process where you could have the Alpine Dash sparrow. Coincidentally, this (and Dawning Cheer) can be purchased using legendary shards and glimmer.

Oh, and these two steps let you grab Eva Levante’s Dawning bounties, too. Don’t forget to have some of these active so they can be completed while you do regular activities in Destiny 2.

Furthermore, don’t forget to check out Eververse. I find that Destiny 2‘s annual Dawning event tends to have cool-looking ghost shells and armor ornaments. So, if you’ve got the bright dust (or silver) to spare, you could try picking these up.
