The Crux Convergence is a new public event in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. You’ll sometimes encounter this as you explore Europa. Oh, and you can turn it heroic as well. Here’s our guide to help you out.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light – Heroic Crux Convergence public event on Europa
The gist of the Crux Convergence public event in Destiny 2: Beyond Light is this:
- Three brigs will appear in the area. They look like a small version of Insurrection Prime from the Scourge of the Past raid. These mechs are completely shielded at the start.
- There will be a pyramid fragment floating nearby. If you stand underneath the pyramid, you’ll slowly “cap” that zone.
- By fully capping a pyramid, you’ll remove a shield from one of the brigs. You can then destroy it.
- Repeat the same steps when the next two pyramids spawn so you can also eliminate the last two mechs in succession.
Sounds simple enough, right? However, the tricky part is turning the Crux Convergence public event heroic. That’s because it requires you to shoot down several drones that are flying around each pyramid fragment.
The drones are fairly weak and are easy to destroy. Unfortunately, a problem occurs when there are too many blueberries around and they mess up the process. If too many people cap a pyramid and the drones are still up, that pyramid will disappear and you basically missed your chance to switch to heroic mode.
Anyway, if you take out all the drones for each pyramid, a Fallen Commodore will spawn at the end. This is Insurrection Prime-lite (it’s as big as the raid boss, but it uses some fairly basic attacks like the brigs). After you turn it into scrap metal, you’ll complete the heroic version of Europa’s Crux Convergence public event.
