Destiny 2 Albedo Wing God Roll: Best perks and how to get it

Take flight.

Bungie really wants us to like and use Glaives and Dawning 2023 is proof of that since we’re getting a new Glaive called Albedo Wing, which is an Arc Energy Aggressive Frame Glaive. Here’s the Albedo Wing God Roll in Destiny 2 and how to get it.

How to get Albedo Wing in Destiny 2

Albedo Wing is tied to the Dawning event, specifically Dawning 2023. The only way to get and farm Albedo Wing is to participate in the Dawning event. Earn Festive Engrams and turn them into Eva Levante to try and get an Albedo Wing God Roll.

It’s going to be hard to get Albedo Wing anytime that’s not the Dawning. However, to me, that’s more encouraging than a weapon getting locked into a season because they then become very hard to get when the season is over and nearly impossible to get when the year is up and a new expansion is here.

  • Haft: Lightweight Emitter
  • Magazine: Light Mag
  • Perk 1: Beacon Rounds
  • Perk 2: Close to Melee/Demolitionist
  • Origin Trait: Dawning Surprise, Hakke Breach Armaments

For the Albedo Wing PvE God Roll, we have a lot more time and chances to fire the Glaive which is why increasing the reload speed is the focus. The shield will take a hit, but you’ll likely be using this Glaive to shoot and slash, not shield up.

Lightweight Emitter is what I recommend since it gives you a plus 10 to reload speed and plus five to handling, but you do sacrifice 10 points in shield duration and charge time. The Light Mag gives you plus 10 to reload speed and a nice plus five to range.

Beacon Rounds is the shiny new perk you want on Albedo Wing in PvE because it gives your projectiles tracking after getting a final blow with this Glaive. From there, you can work both projectile and melee angles by giving you a 30% melee damage bonus after getting a projectile final blow thanks to Close to Melee or you can play it safe and get Demolitionist which gives you grenade energy upon weapon kills and reloads Albedo Wing upon using your grenade.

Dawning Surprise is an Origin Trait that is only useful during the Dawning event. It rewards you with a Dawning gift after rapidly defeating targets and powerful enemies. Hakke Breach Armaments is a strange Origin Trait since it allows you to deal increased damage to vehicles and constructs, yet those two things aren’t too prevalent in Destiny 2. Not a great set of Origin Traits, but that doesn’t mean Albedo Wing is completely useless.

  • Haft: Ballistic Tuning
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Perk 1: Keep Away
  • Perk 2: Close to Melee
  • Origin Trait: Dawning Surprise, Hakke Breach Armaments

The goal of the Albedo Wing PvP God Roll is to increase range at all costs because you only get one or two chances to deal damage with a shot from this Glaive and you want to make it connect. The rest of the perks highlight both shooting and dealing melee damage with Albedo Wing.

Ballistic Tuning gives you a minus 10 to both shield duration and charge time, but you get a plus 15 to range which is huge. From there, Accurized Rounds is the best bet since it gives you a plus 10 to range and no negatives.

Keep Away gives you a temporary bonus to range, reload speed, and accuracy when no targets are within 15 meters of you, which allows you to secure a missile kill. Once you get a missile kill, Close to Melee procs and gives you an extra 30% to Glaive melee damage for 10 seconds. This can be extended if you get more Glaive projectile final blows. To me, it creates a nice loop of starting a fight by getting a Glaive projectile final blow and then going in to tear everyone up with a 30% melee damage boost.
