Destiny 2 Acosmic God Roll: Best perks and how to get it

What is the Acosmic God Roll in Destiny 2?

Acosmic is a Heavy Void Grenade Launcher introduced in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023. In this guide, I’ll tell you how to get Acosmic and what the PvP and PvE God Rolls consist of. Let’s dive into it.

How to get Acosmic in Destiny 2

Acosmic is a tough weapon to get considering it’s not craftable and it’s only available during Festival of the Lost. Because of that, you should try your hardest to get an Acosmic God Roll before it’s too late. When Festival of the Lost ends, it’ll be impossible to get Acosmic before Festival of the Lost returns next Halloween.

Is the Acosmic God Roll worth it?

If you don’t have a Regnant God Roll from Season 20, I think the Acosmic God Roll is definitely worth it. Regnant is arguably better because the God Roll gets you Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing rounds, not one or the other like Acosmic offers. Acosmic is a Rapid-Fire Frame Grenade Launcher which isn’t the best, but the God Roll is still worth getting if you’re in need of a solid Void Grenade Launcher.

  • Barrel: Volatile Launch
  • Magazine: High-Explosive Ordnance
  • Perk 1: Impulse Amplifier
  • Perk 2: Destabilizing Rounds
  • Origin Trait: Nadir Focus

Since we are getting projectile velocity in many other ways through our perks and Origin Trait, Volatile Launch is the best PvE barrel. It increases the blast radius by 15 points but decreases handling by 10 and velocity by five. This is best to make a bigger splash, which also helps Destabilizing Rounds do better.

To take things to the next level, we’ll use the High-Explosive Ordnance magazine to add 10 more points to the blast radius while giving us five points in velocity. Our magazine size decreases by two which is a bummer, but it’s worth it to create an absolutely explosive Grenade Launcher — plus, the Rapid-Fire Frame reload boost on an empty magazine will proc more often.

Loose change can be a good perk if you want to use your Grenade Launcher for an extended period as it grants a big buff to reload speed for a short time after applying elemental debuffs. Still, I recommend Impulse Amplifier because it gives you a constant reload and projectile velocity boost with no needed prerequisites.

It’s a toss-up, but I recommend Destabilizing Rounds over Repulsor Brace here because you can eliminate groups of enemies extremely quickly this way which works best with the Heavy Grenade Launcher’s AoE. Destabilizing Rounds makes nearby enemies volatile which creates chain Void explosions while Repulsor Brace gives you a Void Overshield when defeating a Void-debuffed enemy.

I think Nadir Focus is a better Origin Trait than Search Party because it gives an increase to projectile velocity while Search Party increases ADS speed while no allies are around, which isn’t as great of a bonus and it’s hard to achieve.

Destiny 2 Acosmic PvP God Roll

  • Barrel: Volatile Launch
  • Magazine: High-Explosive Ordnance
  • Perk 1: Field Prep
  • Perk 2: Repulsor Brace
  • Origin Trait: Nadir Focus

Volatile Launch and High-Explosive Ordnance are the best barrel and magazine picks for the Acosmic PvP God Roll build as well, and it’s for the exact same reasons. In total, we’ll get a plus 25 to blast radius and a minus five to handling. The magazine is two charges smaller, but you don’t get a lot of Heavy Ammo in PvP anyway. This high blast radius allows Acosmic to deal higher damage to groups of Guardians than other Heavy weapons.

Going with Impulse Amplifier isn’t bad for the Acosmic PvP God Roll build, but I recommend Field Prep as it increases your ammo reserves when you do pick up Heavy Ammo and increases reload speed and ready and stow speed while crouched.

None of the second perk options are especially great for PvP, but Repulsor Brace is the best pick. Getting a Void Overshield will help with longevity, but getting it to proc can be hard. I recommend using a Funnelweb and your best Void build to make Repulsor Brace on Acosmic useful. If you’re an ability junkie, Wellspring isn’t a bad option.

Nadir Focus is the best pick for the same reasons why Nadir Focus is the best Origin Trait perk for the Acosmic PvE God Roll build. Projectile velocity is better than ADS speed and being near no allies is harder than it seems.
