Fortnite Season 8 is here and a new set of NPCs have been settling in on the island. One NPC that has arrived since the Fortnite Season 8 update is the Cube Assassin. The hostile NPC has only one goal, to eliminate you as fast as possible. However, this guide will show you to defeat the Cube Assassin in Fortnite Season 8, and the rewards will be worth your time.

To find the Cube Assassin NPC in Fortnite, you will have to visit one of The Sideways rifts. It is important to note that this is not the large, round Sideways that is already formed at the start of a match. Instead, you will want to visit one of the many purple rifts on the map that are waiting to be activated.

Defeating the Cube Assassin in Fortnite guide

Before you make your way into a rift, you will want to make sure that you are stocked up on plenty of strong weapons and ammunition. If you can not get your hands on any high rarity weapons, you will be able to open Sideways chests. Killing the swarms of monsters within will drop extra ammunition and make sure the timer does not run out. Then, after a few seconds, the Cube Assassin can spawn in and begin her attack. She is armed with a powerful Sideways weapon, along with a deployable shield that blocks all of your bullets. At this point, it’s best to create another angle to damage the Cube Assassin from.
