Dead Island fans who are planning to get hitched can apply to become an “official” Deep Silver zombie bride and groom. The successful applicants will take part in a Dead Island Riptide-themed wedding ceremony hosted by Deep Silver and the winning undead couple will also be sent on a luxury Caribbean honeymoon.

Zombie fans who are planning to get married this year can apply by posting a video message on YouTube explaining why they should be chosen and post a link on the Dead Island Zombie wedding facebook page. The closing date for applicants is 14 February and the winners will be announced in March.

Amy Namihas, Head of Marketing & Public Relations, Deep Silver UK, said: “For the launch celebrations of Dead Island Riptide we wanted to do something different, and a zombie wedding with all the trappings certainly fits the bill and has not been done on this scale before. We’re excited to see the application videos from our prospective undead bride and groom and look forward to hosting the wedding of the fear.”

Based on the fact that zombies are so popular at the moment, I can see quite a few couples trying out for this one. Perhaps a trip to a graveyard for the honeymoon would be more appropriate.
