Dead Rising 3 PC upgraded to Apocalypse Edition

Dead Rising 3 on PC will now be Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition, complete with lots of bundled DLC.

Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition will include four sets of DLC, apparently, which make up the “Untold Stories of Los Perdidos.” Each one of these bits of DLC offers an additional chapter, and each one has a different protagonist and a load of new weapons and vehicles which carry over to the main game.

All previous pre-orders of Dead Rising 3 have been automatically upgraded to the Apocalypse Edition, while any pre-orders you make from now on will be 10% off, setting the price at £35.99.

I’d swear that this is actually more expensive than before, but I’m having a really hard time finding evidence of Dead Rising 3‘s price before now. Perhaps I’m thinking of when it was discounted in the Summer Sale? Hmm.

Either way, Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition is an open-world zombie basher that offers a huge amount of ridiculous costumes and weapons (note the male protagonist in a dress and silly mask above, hitting zombies with a teddy bear) and it’s due out on 5 September.
