Phoenix Labs’ Behemoth-hunting co-op title Dauntless enters Closed Beta later today. From 12 noon (US Pacific Time), those with access to the Closed Beta through the ownership of Founder’s Packs will be able to start playing.
Regular updates are promised throughout the Closed Beta period, and it will launch with new additions from the previous Alpha session. Expect some new Behemoths (obviously), new weapons, islands and more. Story expansions will be coming in future updates too.
“Dauntless is a living game that we’ll be continuing to evolve, grow and expand through Closed Beta, Open Beta and beyond. Today’s Closed Beta launch marks the beginning of an amazing journey,” says Phoenix Labs’ co-founder Jesse Houston.
The game will be playable at PAX West (1 September to 4 September) if you happen to be in the Seattle area in the next few days. Ultimately, Dauntless will be a free-to-play game on PC, with a full release expected in late 2017.
