Aventurine has announced that a free trial for Darkfall has been launched from today. Anyone interested in the game can now try it out for 14 days free of charge. The previous trials for the game had a small fee attached to prevent the servers from being inundated with new players, however, Aventurine now feels it’s safe to offer the trial for free: “After our experience with the 1 euro/dollar trial and after several further improvements we feel that we’re ready to offer a free trial which won’t disrupt the current user experience and will help with making the game available to a larger playerbase and getting new players into the game.”
The free trial is limited to one per computer. Players are advised to download the client before beginning the trial due to the size of the download, European players download from here, US players from here. Once that’s done, European players can set up their accounts here, US players here.
