CD Projekt Red dropped another Live City Wire earlier today. And this one started off on all the kickass rides you can buy (or steal) in Cyberpunk 2077. The developer dove fairly deep into the kind of vehicles to expect roving around the busy streets of Night City, as well as the Badlands abroad. The trailer goes into the types of vehicles you can find, from zippy sport cars to bullish military-grade behemoths. The team even showed off the car owned by Johnny Silverhand.
There are multiple classes of vehicles to find in Cyberpunk 2077. At the bottom of the pillar is the Economy class. These are “low-end clunkers” that have low high speed to match the budget price. But hey, they seem to drive up stairs well enough. The Executive class is a step up, and look inspired by Cadillac luxury vehicles, and sport nice, leather interiors. Next up is the Heavy Duty class, which includes trucks, tanks, and armored beasts that can do some impressive damage. On the other end of the spectrum is the Sports class, high-octane vehicles designed for tuning and street racing. The Hypercar class, however, combines the prior two creating true monsters that move fast and can take a beating (naturally, probably the most expensive).
On type of vehicle that got glossed over was the motorcycle. We see them briefly in the trailer, but I can imagine there will be plenty of options available. The Live City Wire did go into a motorcycle later on, and brought along a friendly face.
That motorcycle looks breathtaking
Keanu Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, was on set for the behind the scenes Arch Motorcycle trailer. Arch is a real-life motorcycle company co-founded by Reeves, and there will be an Arch-branded bike in the game. Reeves was filmed talking about how the partnership happened, while offering his own adorable take on engine sounds. According to the Arch Motorcyle co-founder, Gard Hollinger, CD Projekt used the company’s latest Arch Method 143 motorcycle design for the one included in the game. You can see that video down below.
But it won’t be the only real-world vehicle in the game. Paul Dalessi, senior vehicle artist for Cyberpunk 2077, showed off the car owned by Johnny Silverhand. It’s a Porsche 930 built in 1977, making it a century old, and it can be yours in the game. Check out the entirety of today’s Live City Wire for more.
