With the release of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, the difficulties have been slightly switched up. With the new AI systems and reworked police, the game is attempting to become slightly more of a challenge than the original. The settings are easily changed and will let you tailor the game slightly to your own desired play style. So, here are the different difficulties and their differences explained in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk difficulties, explained
The game can be played in four different difficulties. They are simply:
- Easy
- Normal
- Hard
- Very Hard
The four settings are quite self-explanatory and should be experimented with to figure out which one works best for you.
Differences in difficulty
The four levels of difficulty in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 correspond to how much damage you take and how much you give out. Each higher level basically makes your bullets do less damage, and the enemies take far more. They will also try to attack more often with grenades and hacks.
Gone are the days when turning up the difficulty would change the way AI behaved. Now, things just become spongier. It drags out the fights for sure and will certainly make you use everything in your arsenal. Therefore, turning up the difficulty in Cyberpunk will make sure you use all the tools you have been given.
I would suggest playing the game on Hard or Very Hard. This will give the game some level of challenge. However, if you are looking to simply play the game for its story, you can enjoy Normal and Easy and basically play a point-and-click adventure.
How to turn up the heat in Cyberpunk 2077
So, if you want more or less of a challenge, simply head into your game settings and navigate to the Gameplay tab. The first option will be the choice to adjust your difficulty settings in Cyberpunk 2077. Finally, once changed, you will have to reload your last checkpoint.
