Crysis 3 Gameplay Trailer Released

Today EA released a new video on their official EA Vision Youtube page, again under the videos tab, showing some gameplay clip giving us all and idea on what to expect from Crysis 3.

The new trailer is certainly not as brief as the last trailer, giving us a lot more insight into what the game could end up like. So far my personal thinking is that the game will feature a lot of foliage, but more to give the impression of the freedom the first game promised, rather than actually delivering it.

The game itself still looks rather linear from what has been shown, but of course this is only speculation and the game could be a lot less restrictive than Crysis 2.

That said the game does look phenomenal graphically, as did its predecessor. But the next entry does seem to be raising the bar a bit. It’s likely that the footage shown so far was for PC however and could explain the visuals delivered. Personally I would not expect quite this level of quality from the console counterparts. Not that Crysis 2 didn’t look good on console, but the framerate issues did bring the quality down. Hopefully the game will run a little smoother on its next outing.
