The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected everyone around the world, including those in the games industry. Still, we’re bound to see content drops and PC game releases this May 2020, and, hopefully, they’ll entertain fans during these trying times. May 2020 will bring us the following titles: Minecraft Dungeons, Maneater, Saints Row: The Third Remastered, The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor, Phantasy Star Online 2, Crucible, Atomicrops, Fast & Furious Crossroads, Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Invasions, and many more. We’ve also included possible PC game releases for Spring 2020 such as Imperiums: Greek Wars and Outward: The Soroboreans.

May 2020 PC game releases
Someday You’ll Return (CBE Software): May 5
Set in the beautiful wilderness of the Czech Republic, Someday You’ll Return has you searching for your missing daughter. Be forewarned, though, because this psychological horror game has dangers and secrets lurking in every corner.
Population Zero (Enplex Games) : May 5 (Early Access)
You’re a colonist who’s just crash-landed on the world of Kepler and it’s up to you to craft items and survive in this online, open-world game where each session lasts 168 hours or one week in real-time. You can also check out our pre-release impressions after a couple of hours of play.
Old World (Mohawk Games): May 6 (Early Access)
Fulfill your faction’s ambitions to win in this 4X title helmed by Soren Johnson, former lead designer for Civilization IV and Offworld Trading Company.
Spirit of the North (Infuse Studio): May 7
An adventure game where you play as a fox who meets the Guardian of the Northern Lights. It’s inspired by the breathtaking environments of Iceland.
Fury Unleashed (Awesome Games Studio): May 8
It’s been part of Steam’s early access program since 2017, but this combo-driven action platformer officially launches this May 2020.
Halo 2: Anniversary (343 Industries): May 12
Master Chief comes face to face with the arbiter in the remastered sequel.
Crucible (Amazon Games): May 20
Very little is known about Amazon’s action shooter except that are 12 players who need to work together before battling it out to become the last man standing. There’s also the 13th individual in the match, the gamemaster, whose role is to direct the outcome while using Twitch integration.
Total War: Warhammer II – The Warden & The Paunch (Creative Assembly): May 21
The Warden of Tor Yvresse, Eltharion the Grim, meets his match in the form of the obese Grom the Paunch, the goblin warboss who leads his Waaagh! across Ulthuan. You can check out our impressions as well as our guides and features hub.
Civilization VI: New Frontier Pass/Maya and Gran Colombia Pack (Firaxis Games): May 21
Civilization VI will be getting bimonthly content drops from now until 2021 thanks to this season pass. The initial offering for May 2020 will be Gran Colombia led by Simon Bolivar and the Maya led by Lady Six Sky. You can check out our impressions as well as our guides and features hub.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered (PlatinumGames): May 21
Originally released in 2013 for the Wii U, the game lets you rescue various characters to unite and morph them while battling evildoers.
The Persistence (Firesprite Ltd): May 21
Will you be able to survive in a spaceship filled with monsters and zombies? You can also ask a couple of friends to help you out by controlling the ship’s defense systems using their iOS or Android devices.
Maneater (Tripwire Interactive): May 22
Explore the sunken depths and tear divers limb from limb, Jaws-style, by playing as an evolving shark!
Saints Row: The Third Remastered (Sperasoft): May 22
Get ready for some over-the-top action and open-world hilarity.
Minecraft Dungeons (Mojang): May 26
Minecraft, a game played by millions around the world, will present a new challenge: Minecraft Dungeons.
Minecraft Dungeons is an action-RPG where you battle evil denizens with your friends. It’s time to find out just how well the game’s formula works with this spinoff.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor (Bethesda): May 26
Journey back to the northern wilderness a thousand years before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as you face off against vampires in this expansion to MMORPG.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath (NetherRealm Studios): May 26
Fujin and Sheeva return to the fight, and they’re joined by RoboCop and friendships in this story expansion to the hit fighting game. Hint: It’s about time travel.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Invasions (Triumph Studios): May 26
Meet two new alien races that are set to claim their dominance of the galaxy, face an endgame challenge as Voidbringers invade with legions of soldiers, and play a scenario where someone controls a mighty empire and the rest have to band together to take them out.
Those Who Remain (Camel 101): May 28
Set in a mysterious town, this psychological horror game will have you confronting horrors while managing your sanity and staying within the safety of the light.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens (WayForward): May 28
The next installment in the Shantae adventure series.
Atomicrops (Bird Bath Games): May 28
The world is a nuclear wasteland, and you’ll have to fight mutants to protect the last farm on the planet.
Fast & Furious Crossroads (Slightly Mad Studios): May 2020
An action/driving game filled with cinematic chases and heists similar to the films.
Phantasy Star Online 2 (Sega): May 2020
The hit RPG will finally be arriving in the west in 2020, so there’s no need to worry about fan-made translations or bringing out your old Dreamcast. This version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will actually be free-to-play.
Spring 2020 PC game releases
Outward: The Soroboreans (Nine Dots Studio): Spring 2020
The first DLC for 2019’s Outward adds new locations, items, skills, and enchantments for your weapons and trinkets.
Sludge Life (Terri Vellman): Spring 2020
This game published by Devolver Digital lets you deface and vandalize your surroundings.
