Content Drop: March 2020 PC Games – Doom Eternal, Half-Life: Alyx, Bannerlord, and more

We’re saying goodbye to February and saying hello to March. We could be saying hello to some cool surprises as well. The content drops and PC game releases for March 2020 feature a trove of hotly-anticipated offerings.

The Division 2: Warlords of New York starts off the festivities and we’ll also see lots of demons, gore, and blood in Doom Eternal. Titles such as Bleeding Edge, Panzer Corps 2, Stela, and more will also arrive. Destiny 2: Season of the Worthy and Path of Exile: Delirium will also add to the base game. As for long-awaited releases, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will be part of Steam’s early access program. Oh, and fans of Half-Life won’t need to wait that long because the VR title Half-Life: Alyx and the reinvented Black Mesa will also launch this month.

March 2020 PC game release dates

The Division 2: Warlords of New York (Ubisoft): March 3

The Division 2‘s agents are sent back to Manhattan to chase down a major antagonist from the previous game. Warlords of New York raises the level cap to 40, adds lots of new items, and seasonal gear. Likewise, enemies now scale based on the player’s level, so you won’t feel locked out of certain areas as you explore.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (343 Industries): March 3

In what can be considered as one of the biggest surprises in early 2020, the remastered version of the first Halo game has finally been made available as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Curse of the Dead Gods (Passtech Games): March 3 (Early Access)

Featuring roguelike mechanics, this ARPG lets you use curses that can be a double-edged sword as you delve deeper into dungeons.

Black Mesa (Crowbar Collective): March 5

Although it’s been in Early Access for years, Crowbar Collective’s reimagining of Black Mesa is expected to release some time in late 2018, early 2019, mid 2019. You know what? It took a long while, but it looks like Black Mesa will finally release next week. Half-Life fans can rejoice since this and Half-Life: Alyx could make March 2020 quite exciting.

Doom Eternal (id Software): March 20

Doom fans will be going to hell once more in 2020. After a short delay, Doom Eternal will bring back pulse-pounding and gory action against the demonic hordes. Bleeding Edge (Ninja Theory): March 24

This action game has fast-paced, fluid, and stylistic action. No, it’s not Devil May Cry, although DmC’s combat director Rahmi Tucker is part of the team. It’s Bleeding Edge, an upcoming 4v4 battler from Ninja Theory which lets you freeze enemies, ride rockets, and unleash combos. The game will be available for Xbox Game Pass for PC owners.

Nightdive will be “rebooting and re-imagining” the great System Shock. Most of the additions appear cosmetic or functional in nature (modern graphics, mouse controls), and level design seems like it will largely remain unaltered. The game has been delayed for some time.
