Phoenix Online has released a bonus-filled Game of the Year edition of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, and existing owners get it free.

The Goatee edition of Cognition gives you all four episodes of Season One, a director’s commentary track, concept art, behind-the-scenes development diaries, outtakes, and a few other bits and bobs. It’ll generally be priced at $14.99 but in celebration of its release, it’s apparently going to be on sale this week for $9.99 on Steam, GOG, and the Phoenix Online Store.

Cognition is a paranormal murder-mystery in which you play Erica Reed, an FBI agent who secretly has the power to see visions of the past. Not only is she trying to track down the Cain Killer – a serial killer who murdered her brother – but it’s starting to look like somebody might know Erica’s secret. It was rather well received when it came out, so if you haven’t given it a look already, now might be the time.

Tim has been playing PC games for longer than he's willing to admit. He's written for a number of publications, but has been with PC Invasion - in all its various incarnations - for over a decade. When not writing about games, Tim can occasionally be found speedrunning terrible ones, making people angry in Dota 2, or playing something obscure and random. He's also weirdly proud of his status as (probably) the Isle of Man's only professional games journalist.
