Codemasters hacked last week; members being alerted now

Codemasters is one of the latest game publishers to be hit by a hack attack which occurred on 3 June and now they are alerting their members.
It’s been a tough few months for game publishers when it comes to hacks and last Friday Codemasters were the latest to be hit. Today they have contacted all Codemasters customers detailing what exactly was compromised on their system.
According to the mail that has just gone out, the hackers had access to the Codemasters corporate website and sub-domains. the DiRT 3 VIP code redemption page, the Codemasters EStore, and sadly customer names and addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, encrypted passwords and order history.
Probably the worst hit is the member database which included members’ names, usernames, screen names, email addresses, date of birth, encrypted passwords, newsletter preferences, any biographies entered by users, details of last site activity, IP addresses and Xbox Live Gamertags.
Fortunately no personal payment information was stolen as Codemasters use external payment providers.
Codemasters has now taken down their website and setup a redirect to their Facebook page for now.
If are concerned about any of the above and use your Codemasters passwords for anything else, you should change them now.
