Code Vein and Ni No Kuni 2 trailers debuted at Golden Joysticks

Bandai Namco popped out a couple of new trailers for their games at the recent Golden Joystick Awards. Both Code Vein and Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom received short videos. They’re both due on PC in 2018.

Code Vein continues to look like ‘Anime Souls’ (whether that’s a fair or smart comparison or not remains to be seen), and the trailer is a mix of showing off the art style and bits of third person combat. It’s set in a post-disaster world, where skyscrapers are now “lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment.” That sounds … ominous.

The remaining population appear to all have a thirst for blood, and if they give in to that urge entirely they may become one of the ‘Lost’. All of this seems like an excuse to hack and slash some monsters.

Meanwhile, the Ni No Kuni 2 trailer contains the extremely powerful line “it is time for mouse-kind to assume its rightful place, at last!” I’m not sure anything else I write here can really top that.

Here are the respective videos.
