Clive ‘N’ Wrench gets a new gameplay trailer ahead of release this month

Monkey business

In the event you’re as excited about the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie-esque 3D platformer, Clive ‘N’ Wrench, you’ll probably want to check out the new eight-minute gameplay trailer that gives us the best look at the game yet. 3D platformers aren’t made quite as much as usual, so when a new collectathon made out of reverence to the classics shows up, the devoted are usually more than happy to get their hands on something new. This game looks quite promising, featuring much of what people loved so much about games where you run around as a mascot and collect shiny trinkets.

The Clive ‘N’ Wrench gameplay trailer shows off the game’s environments, mobility options, and even offers a glimpse at its menus. It opens with Clive, the rabbit, swinging his monkey pal Wrench around to hover while traversing a giant kitchen. The trailer also gives us a look at a host of other levels, such as one with a huge clock tower, another in China, and the game’s hub where all the different areas are accessed.

As it’s eight minutes, watching it is a great way to get a feel for the game to decide whether or not it’s worth the cash when it releases on February 24.

Clive ‘N’ Wrench gets a new gameplay trailer

The game is being developed by Dinosaur Bytes Studio and is published by Numskull Games. It features the titular duo going on an adventure through time to stop an evil doctor who has stolen Clive’s cousin’s time travel plans. I’ve been anxiously looking forward to the game ever since I learned of its existence, as I’m a pretty big fan of the Banjo games. Check out the trailer below and make sure to check back in later this month for our full review of the game.
