CityVille Named Most Popular Facebook Game Ever

CityVille has been confirmed as the most popular Facebook game of all time, topping 100 million users in just one month.
The casual title, which was developed by Zynga, is outperforming the 57 million users who play the previous titleholder, FarmVille.
CityVille first launched on December 2 and in just two weeks pulled in 26m users. Since then another 74m users have joined the game to hit the 100m landmark figure.
The title is free to play and allows gamers to buy in-game currency to exchange for real money. It allows users to create their own city and expand their business into friends’ cities.
