City of Titans Kickstarter off to a superhero start – 75% of the goal already reached

It’s been a few days since Missing Worlds Media launched their Kickstarter for the superhero MMO project City of Titans (The Phoenix Project) and it’s off to a “super” start.

With 29 days still to go until the funding period ends, the team has so far raised $261,023 out of the $320,000 goal. When talking to the team about crowd funding a couple of months back they sounded a little nervous about launching a Kickstarter, but the community has rallied to the cause and the campaign should surpass the goal without much of a problem.

You have to wonder if NCSoft are watching this because the City of Titans Kickstarter would never have existed if they hadn’t shut down City of Heroes. The good news is that when the game does eventually get completed the players know that there will be passion behind it and that should mean a bright future for the MMO.
