Cities: Skylines paints Green Cities in October

The environmental Green Cities DLC for Cities: Skylines will be sprouting trees everywhere on 19 October. It’ll cost $13 USD, and be accompanied by a free update that also sticks with the Green theme.

On the paid side of things, Green Cities adds loads (“350” in fact) of new visual options like organic supermarkets, eco-friendly buidlings, new parks, and services to reduce pollution. You’ll be able to set waste filtering restrictions for certain buildings, introduce a ban on combustion engines, and more. Expect new scenarios and policy options too.

The free update includes electric cars, an overhaul of noise pollution, modded roads, and more tree options. There’s a trailer below showing some of those things. In a rather meta way, the soundtrack is performed by in-game Cities: Skylines artist Lily la Roux.
