Torn Banner’s Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is about to get a whole lot sillier, with a Deadliest Warrior expansion incoming.

Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior will add five warriors from throughout history to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, starting with the Spartan and the Samurai, with six new maps (one for each warrior, plus one extra) on which you can battle it out. You’ll also be able to fight it out in a variety of new modes, apparently, with everything from gigantic mixed-team deathmatches to faction battles (each team only has one warrior available, with votes deciding which scenario is up next at the end of each match) and one-on-one warrior duels. There’s even a custom battle mode that lets you set the game up however you like, adding up to six teams and throwing in Capture the Flag or single-life Elimination modes.

Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior will be shown off at PAX Prime. If you’re not going to that then fear not – there’ll be a beta opening soon, and the full expansion will be released for $14.99 this autumn.

No screens yet, so the ones above are from the base Chivalry: Medieval Warfare game.
