Champions Online On Sale Today

Players in North America can purchase and play the long-awaited superhero MMO, Champions Online, from today.

Cryptic Studios today officially releases Champions Online, the MMO where players can design a superhero from the ground up. Intricate character customisation allows you to create toons with thousands of possibilities. Once you’ve poured a considerable amount of time into that, you are plunged into a game where you must complete quests to save helpless citizens and ultimately stop the bad guys. You even get to create your own nemesis, who appears throughout the game with his or her minions to challenge you.

We got our hands on Champions earlier this year and wrote up a preview of the game. Since then, dozens of action screenshots and concept art images have been added to our gallery, and Cryptic even shared Champions’ key Heroes and Villains with us. Champions Online is released in Europe on 4 September.
