Cryptic Studios’ design director Bill Roper has written the latest ‘State of the Game’ report on the upcoming superhero MMO, Champions Online.
The team are currently focussing on balancing the game’s powers and items, and Roper confirms that changes may even be made to mechanics and powers at this stage if it makes fights more fun and engaging.
European players are one step closer to being able participate in contests, now that a new set of rules that adhere to local laws and restrictions are in place. In the game itself, the next few weeks should see the arrival of the Ranks & Rewards PvP system and the finished version of the B.A.S.H. Battleground. The Power House should also be appearing in the next week, along with patrol missions in the desert and Canada after that. Finally, the Nemesis system should be back in the test soon. Read the full report at the official site.A press release from publishers earlier stated that the open beta for Champions Online was due to start on 17 August, however, Cryptic Studios has since denied that.
